Welcome to the website of the Office for the Community and Voluntary Sector (OCVS).

We raise the profile of the community and voluntary sector within governmentvia a range of activities. The collaborative approachto our workis driven by the Statement of Government Intentions for an Improved Community-Government Relationship, which sets out a vision and principles to help build avibrant community and voluntary sector working in partnership with government to benefit society. Expectations of public servants are made explicit in six government commitments in the document.

Cabinet agreed thata national Community-Government Forum in November 2009 will discuss development of a Relationship Agreement...

This site provides you with information about the OCVS andour work to implement the Statementand build knowledge aboutthe community and voluntary sector.
