February 25 is fast looming as a date of significant importance to Whangarei residents and their harbour.

From February 25 until March 26, Whangarei residents can comment on how they think the town's ailing sewage system should be fixed.

Those comments need to be made as submissions to Whangarei's wonderfully bureaucratically named draft Long Term Council Community Plan, or the LTCCP.

Now, if that last sentence made you feel like dozing off, stay with me.

Forget what it's called - it is an important document used to plan major changes to Whangarei, and to flag major spending on these changes.
