Death of an old Native

Auckland, Tuesday. — The death took place at Ngunguru of an old Maori named Paratene Te Manu, one of the last of tho old ex-camiibal warriors of the Native race. Old Paratene was over 90 years of age and was a member of the Ngatiwai section of the Ngapuhi, being uncle of Tenetahi of the Little Barrier Island fame.
