Susan Wood There are strong rumours that Ngunguru sandspit will feature in a later segment in the "coastal" series on Close-up.

Coastal - Part 1
All of us can remember holidays by the seaside. It's part of being a New Zealander isn't it? But for how much longer? From working class subdivisions to multi-million dollar developments, our coastline is being bought and sold for more and more money. With it, increasingly, a way of life changes too. Rawdon Christie compares three very different development plans, starting with Ocean Beach, on the coast near Hastings in Hawke's Bay.
