They had a fire coming out of the tank, which we put out with an extinguisher and went home.

Check gas connections are screwed tightly before having the first barbecue of the summer season, Ngunguru chief fire officer Richard Hodder warned yesterday.

His caution came after firefighters were called to a home in Shoebridge Cres, Ngunguru, at 8.07pm on Tuesday.
